Sanyo Denki describes the development process for the A11H SANUPS Series in this technical report. As information communication technology (IT) has expanded globally, various IT systems have been introduced. Two extremely important factors when considering use of a system are reliability and stable operation or maintenance for devices that are connected to servers, routers, and other network systems. This reliability is also required in the power source that supplies power to the device. Uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are a large part in this reliability and Sanyo Denki has been able to address the stability, reliability and power quality with the development of this true on-line double conversion system.

This paper is part of a series developed by IDC to educate organizations on the cloud opportunity and provide guidance on how to succeed in the cloud marketplace.
In 2008, IDC started to notice the IT industry was at the beginning of a hyper-disruption – one of those massive shifts that comes along every 20–25 years. In 2011, we had seen enough to give it a name: the 3rd Platform. The new era of technology is built on the four technology pillars for innovation and growth: cloud, mobile, big data, and social technologies.
When a small business needs to expand its phone system, or its old system is no longer supported by the vendor, alternatives such as voice over IP (VoIP) become attractive. However, the costs and perceived complexities of such solutions often hold the business back.

The amount of data being stored is more than doubling every two years. IT departments eager to shrink data center footprints and consolidate servers and storage are preparing for a new generation of data servers. But while virtualized and cloud storage environments are expecting dramatic future growth, we have yet to widespread adoption across the board. Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE), a low cost alternative for expanding legacy SANs with minimum investment, lets customers combine Ethernet data and fibre channel data traffic into a single high-speed network. While only 9 percent of users surveyed by have already adopted FCoE , that number is expected to grow to 26 percent in the next two years. And while cloud storage is expected to skyrocket over the next decade, security concerns and application compatibility are still an issue. This Storage CRN eZine, a part of our Thought Leadership Series, will discuss the state of the virtualized storage market, the current challenges facing integrators and vendors, and the steps necessary to take to meet an expected deluge of Big Data that will need to be stored and managed down the road.
